HDTV Selling Insights for Retailers and Manufacturers

Market Force Information and partner J.D. Power and Associates launched the retail industry’s largest study about the selling process of HDTVs in January of 2008. The study utilizes J.D. Power’s independent insights into the customer experience and Market Force Information’s strategic mystery shopping methodology and execution to competitively measure the strategic aspects of the HDTV in-store sales process.

The findings evaluate effectiveness at selling HDTV’s across all major manufacturer brands and retail channels nation-wide. Three kinds of shops objectively evaluate sales effectiveness, including the in-store sales experience, the promotional environment and the telephone shopping experience. The study competitively benchmarks electronic retailers on key points that directly impact sales such as sales force effectiveness and selling strengths, brand promotion strategies used, cross-sell efforts and brand recommendations.
